Track WhatsApp conversions without a website.
This page covers one thing: running ads straight to WhatsApp and still knowing which campaign started each chat. A branded page, hosted by Lead Source, sits between the ad and the conversation. The chat that follows arrives as a lead with its campaign attached. No website required.
An ad that opens WhatsApp forgets who paid for it.
Click-to-chat ads are quick to set up and good at starting conversations. They are also very good at hiding which campaign started each one, and if there is no website in the middle, there is nowhere for the trail to be kept.
Nowhere to record the click
Plenty of businesses sell perfectly well over WhatsApp without a website. Which is fine until someone asks which ad is paying for itself, and the honest answer is a shrug.
Every campaign ends in the same chat list
The weekend offer, the search campaign and the poster in the window all produce the same thing: a new number saying hello. Nothing in the chat says which one sent it.
The tap gets counted as the conversation
Ad platforms report the click that opened WhatsApp. Whether anyone then typed a word is a separate question, and the one that matters for your budget.
A landing page with exactly one job.
Each WhatsApp landing page carries your business name, a headline and a single button. You choose the words on the button, and the message the visitor starts with, so the chat opens already knowing what they came for.
It is hosted by Lead Source. It goes live the moment you publish it. Duplicate it for the next campaign, keep it as a draft until the ad is ready, archive it when the offer ends.
There is no menu to wander off into and no blog to get lost in. A visitor arrives, reads one line and taps one button. Conversion-rate consultants have charged a great deal to arrive at that layout.

The chat, with the campaign that paid for it.
When the visitor sends their message, it arrives in Lead Source as a WhatsApp lead with the campaign, the source and the landing page it came through. It sits in the same reports as your form leads, so a WhatsApp campaign and a search campaign can finally be compared on the same terms.
A tap on the button is not a lead. Only a real message reaching your WhatsApp Business number is. The visitor who opened the chat and thought better of it stays out of your numbers, and so does the bot.

A page per campaign. A source on every chat.
One page per campaign
A page for the search campaign, another for the weekend offer. Each chat says which one it came through.
Links and QR codes too
The same entry point works as a link for an email signature or a QR code for a stand, a van or a shop window.
Labelled once
Give a page its source and campaign when you create it. The QR code on the van never has to explain itself again.
A lead is a message
Taps, opened chats and your own replies never count. Only a real customer message becomes a lead.
Beside your other leads
WhatsApp leads land in the same reports as your form leads, under the same channels, so the comparison is fair.
Copy it for the next offer
Duplicate a page, change the headline, publish. The next campaign is tracked before the ad goes live.
Four routes into WhatsApp that used to go unrecorded.
Anywhere you send people straight to a chat, a landing page in the middle keeps the trail. The four most people ask about:
Search ads that end in a chat
Point the ad at your WhatsApp landing page instead of straight at WhatsApp. The campaign and keyword travel with the lead, and counting those chats in Google Ads becomes possible.
Selling over WhatsApp with no site
The landing page is the only page you need. Run the ad, publish the page, track the chats. Build the full website when you have time, or never.
Every offer, told apart
One page per offer, one link per signature, one QR code per stand. Each chat says which door it came through, so the poster in the window finally gets its credit.
Not every chat comes through a page. We say so.
Some customers saved your number months ago. Some were forwarded your contact by a friend. Their chats still arrive as confirmed WhatsApp leads, marked Unattributed, because nothing recorded where they came from.
We never pin one of those on a campaign to make the numbers look tidier. A WhatsApp campaign gets credit for the chats it can be shown to have started, and that is a number you can spend money against.
The rest of WhatsApp lead source attribution covers the chats that start from your website, and lead source tracking covers every other lead you get.

WhatsApp landing pages, questions answered.
Do I need a website to track WhatsApp conversions?
No. A WhatsApp landing page is hosted by Lead Source, so it can be the only page your ad points at. Publish it, put its link in the ad, and the chats that follow arrive as leads with the campaign attached.
Does a tap on Continue to WhatsApp count as a lead?
No. A lead is created only when a real message reaches your WhatsApp Business number. A visitor who opens the chat and closes it is never counted, and neither is a bot.
Can I have a different page for each campaign?
Yes. Create as many as you need, one per campaign, offer or entry point, and duplicate an existing page to start the next one. Each chat says which page it came through.
What can I change on the page?
The business name, the headline, the button text and the message the visitor starts their chat with. The layout is fixed on purpose: one line, one button, no distractions.
Can I use it on a QR code or in an email signature?
Yes. The same entry point works as a link or a QR code, so a stand at a trade show and a line in your signature are tracked the same way as an ad.
