Lead source tracking for every form on your WordPress site
Every form submission on your WordPress site arrives with the campaign that earned it. Gravity Forms, WPForms, Contact Form 7, Elementor or a form built by hand, all of them.

Every WordPress form, credited
Each enquiry lands with the ad, search or email that earned it. Whichever plugin built the form.
Both ends of a WordPress journey
The campaign that introduced them and the one in play when they enquired, on one lead.
The official WordPress plugin
Free on WordPress.org. Leads save in your own wp-admin, no account needed.
Every WordPress form plugin covered
Eight plugins with their own guides, and any form you wrote yourself.
Every WordPress form, credited
Lead Source tracks every visit to your site, then matches each form submission to the campaign behind it. The quote request, the contact form, the newsletter signup. Each one arrives with a name and a reason to spend more on whatever sent it.
- Source, channel, campaign and the full UTM set.
- Click IDs, landing page and referrer on every lead.
- Every page they viewed before the form.

Both ends of a WordPress journey
Somebody lands from an ad, leaves, comes back three weeks later through a search and enquires. Lead Source shows one person with one journey. The campaign that introduced them sits beside the one that brought them back, and on a considered purchase that gap is where the useful money lives.
- First visit and last visit on the same lead.
- Every page read in between, in order.
- Return visits joined to the person, every time.
The official WordPress plugin
Find it under Plugins, Add New, install and activate. On activation a setup wizard looks for the form plugins already on the site, and from then on each lead is saved in your own wp-admin without an account. There is more on the plugin launch in the launch post.
- The source and click ID behind each lead, google, Meta and Microsoft, then LinkedIn and TikTok
- UTMs on each submission, with first page and page path
- Works with WooCommerce checkout and order forms for lead source on quote and enquiry flows
- Leads held in your own database, exportable to CSV from wp-admin in one click
One WordPress snippet, three clicks
- Install the free WPCode plugin from the WordPress plugin directory.
- Open Code Snippets, then Header and Footer in your WordPress dashboard.
- Paste the Lead Source tracking code into the Header section and save. Then clear your page cache so every page picks it up.
That covers every form on the site, including the ones you add next year. Nothing to declare inside a form builder.
<script async src="https://app.leadsource.co/ft.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_KEY"></script>
Tomorrow’s WordPress forms, already tracked
The tracking code sits on the page, so any form that renders there is covered the day it goes live. Elementor, Divi and Beaver Builder all render onto a normal page. A teammate adds a form on Friday. It reports on Monday.
Every WordPress form plugin covered
Whatever built the form, the snippet makes it one of your lead source tracking forms. Each guide below covers that plugin’s quirks. A plugin missing from the list, or a plain HTML form you wrote yourself, works the same way.
How does WordPress lead source tracking work?
Add Lead Source through the official plugin or paste the tracking code into your header with WPCode. It records every visit, then matches each form submission to the source, campaign, landing page and pages viewed that led to it.
What should I check if a new WordPress lead shows no source?
Clear your page cache first. Cached pages run the code only once the cache refreshes. If the visitor never reached your website before submitting, there is no visit to match, so attribution on that lead is limited or unknown. On a WordPress site that is rare, because the form lives on the site.
WordPress questions, answered.
Will it slow my site down?
The snippet is small and loads asynchronously. It does not block rendering.
Does it work with more than one form plugin at once?
Yes. Plenty of sites run Gravity Forms for quotes and Contact Form 7 for a contact page. One snippet covers both.
Do I need to add hidden fields to my forms?
No. That is the method this replaces. Nothing is declared inside the form builder and nothing is appended to a link.
What about forms inside a page builder?
Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder and the rest all render a form onto a normal page, and the tracking code is already on that page. It works.
