The best damn form tracking software you’ve never tried
Five minutes. One line of code, then every form tells you who filled it in and what brought them.

A form fill is a person, not a number in a chart.
Other form trackers count submissions. This one names them, and tells you what sold them.
- Name, email, phone, company, and every field they filled.
- The real source behind the submission, not “Direct” or “Web.”
- The pages they read before the form, in order.
- Which form, on which page, when you run more than one.

It does not care what you built your forms in.
The tracking sits on the page, not inside the form. Nothing to install per form. Nothing to rebuild. Nothing to swap out. One line covers every form on the site, including next year’s.
Form builders collect answers. Yours knows what got typed in. It has no idea the person clicked a paid ad three weeks ago, read two service pages, went quiet, then came back through a bookmark. Lead Source records that half and staples it to the submission.
One exception: forms embedded from another domain inside an iframe. A script cannot write into one, so the value has to arrive on the embed URL instead. That is how LeadConnector and Google Forms are handled. Running something else? Ask us and we will tell you straight.

Send it wherever you already work.
Tracking the form is one job. Getting the result somewhere useful is the other. Every lead lands in Lead Source named, with its source attached, and Zapier carries it into whatever you already run.
- Every lead named, with its real source, in the Lead Source dashboard.
- Zapier delivers it onward, which covers most things.
- Point a webhook at your own endpoint if you would rather wire it yourself.
- No CRM at all? The dashboard works on its own and always has.
Lead Source is on Zapier, so anything Zapier reaches, this reaches.

Paste one line. Then stop guessing.
Paste the script
One line in your site header. Not one per form. Not one per page.
Fill in your own form
Do it yourself, right now. It arrives named, with the source, in seconds.
That is it
Every form on the site is tracked. Including the ones you have not built yet.
Analytics counts the form fill. It cannot tell you who filled it.
Analytics fires an event when someone submits. Fine for counting. It cannot tell you which submission belongs to which person, because it was never built to hold personal data. You get “12 form submissions from paid search” and no way back to the twelve people.
| Google Analytics | Lead Source | |
|---|---|---|
| Counts submissions | Yes | Yes |
| Tells you who submitted | No | Yes |
| Source on the individual record | No | Yes |
| Pages read before the form | Sampled sessions | Full journey, per person |
| Survives blocked cookies | No | Yes |
| Sends the source into your CRM | No | Yes |
Run both. Analytics for traffic shape, Lead Source for the people. See the full comparison.
Feed what fills the form. Kill what doesn’t.
When every submission carries its source, the report writes itself. This channel produced eighteen enquiries. That one produced nothing, and has produced nothing for ninety days. Now you know what to cut.
Why the tracking usually breaks
Four failure modes account for nearly all of it.
The session is not held. The parameters were on the landing page. The visitor moved to a second page. Nothing carried the value forward. Test it yourself: arrive with parameters, click through two pages, then submit.
The field exists but nothing writes to it. Someone added a hidden field and never built the part that fills it. Every submission carries an empty value, which looks like a tracking gap and is a configuration gap.
The value is raw, not resolved. You end up with three spellings of Google and no report groups them.
The send action predates the field. The hidden field was added after the integration was set up, so it is on the form and not in the payload. Check what actually gets sent, not what the form builder shows you.
Form tracking and your CRM
Your CRM has a Lead Source field. It is almost certainly empty, or full of values nobody trusts.
The reason is where it gets filled. If a person fills it at data entry, it depends on them knowing something they have no way of knowing. The lead does not remember which ad they clicked. The salesperson was not there.
Form tracking fills it at submission, which is the only moment the answer exists.
No forms yet?
Form tracking is for forms you already have. Need the forms themselves? We build those too, tracking included. Starting from a blank page? Free form templates cover most industries.
Questions, answered.
What is form tracking?
Form tracking records what happened around a submission, not just the submission itself: which marketing source produced the visitor, which pages they read, and which form they finally filled in. Counting submissions tells you how many. Form tracking tells you where they came from and who they are. the four ways to track forms
What is form tracking software?
Form tracking software attaches source and journey data to every form submission on your website and delivers it along with the submission. Lead Source does it with one line of code and works with any form builder. Some people call it a form tracking system, others just say form tracker. Same thing.
What is the difference between a form tracker and analytics?
A form tracker works at the level of the individual submission. Analytics works at the level of the session. A form tracker can tell you that this named person, from this source, filled in this form after reading these three pages. Analytics can tell you that eleven people submitted something last Tuesday.
Do I have to change my forms?
No. No per-form setup, no hidden fields, no change to your form builder. One script covers every form on the site, including forms you add later.
Which form builders does it work with?
All of them. WPForms, Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Ninja Forms, Fluent Forms, Formidable Forms, Forminator, Elementor and Divi on WordPress. Typeform, Jotform, Tally, Fillout, Paperform, Cognito Forms, Formstack, Wufoo, Zoho Forms and Formsite as standalone builders. Native forms in Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Ghost, Shopify, Framer, Duda and Carrd. Unbounce, Instapage, Leadpages, ClickFunnels, GoHighLevel and Kajabi for funnels. The tracking sits on the page rather than inside the form, so the builder does not matter.
Can you track Google Forms?
Yes, though not the way every other form works. Google Forms is hosted on Google’s own domain, so no script on your site can write into it. The source has to reach the form on its URL instead, via a redirect page, or you replace the Google Form with a Lead Source form and it is tracked directly. The three routes and their limits.
What about a form embedded in an iframe?
If the form is embedded from another domain, a page script cannot see inside it. That is a browser rule, not a Lead Source limitation. Values can still be passed in on the embed URL before the iframe loads, which is how the LeadConnector setup works.
Can Google Analytics track form submissions?
It can count them. It cannot tell you which person submitted or put the source on that person’s record, because Analytics was not built to store personal data. Use Analytics for counting. Use form tracking for knowing.
What happens if someone blocks cookies or refuses consent?
Nothing breaks. Lead Source uses no cookies and no client-side storage. The source is captured server-side at the moment of submission, so ad-blockers, consent refusals and UTM stripping do not take it away. Where a visit carries no usable signal at all, the source is recorded as Unknown rather than guessed at.
Where does the data go?
Your CRM, an email notification, the Lead Source dashboard, or anything else you connect through Zapier. With no CRM at all, the dashboard works on its own.
How long does setup take?
