Your lead source, wherever your team works.
This page covers one thing: getting each lead out of Lead Source and into the tools your team already lives in, with the real source still attached. Zapier carries it to thousands of apps. A signed webhook carries it anywhere else.
The CRM your team already uses. Plus the rest.
A new lead in Lead Source can become a contact in your CRM, a row in a spreadsheet or a card on a board, with its source on it. Your team keeps working where it works. The source just turns up, which is more than the old “how did you hear about us” box ever managed.
Every new lead, and the marketing that sent it.
Each new lead triggers your Zap with the person and the source together, so whatever the Zap does next, it does with the source attached.
- 01The person. Name, email and phone, exactly as they typed them.
- 02The source. The named source, such as Google Ads or ChatGPT, and the channel it belongs to, so a CRM report can group by either.
- 03The first touch. What introduced them, even when they came back another way before they filled in the form.
- 04The context. Which form they filled in, and on which of your websites. Run one Zap for everything, or one per site or form.
The full page-by-page journey stays in Lead Source, one click from the lead. It reads better there than squeezed into a CRM field, and your sales team will thank you for not trying.
Zapier is reach, not a workaround
Lead Source records the lead and its source the moment the form is sent. Zapier carries it on to wherever the next conversation happens.
Monday, Zoho, ActiveCampaign and the rest.
Some have a page of their own. All of them work the same way: the lead arrives in Zapier with its source, and Zapier puts it where you want it. The ones people ask about most:
- 01Monday.com. A new item on your sales board, with the source on the card where the team will actually see it.
- 02Zoho CRM. A new lead with the real source beside Zoho’s own picklist, instead of another “Web”.
- 03ActiveCampaign. A contact you can branch automations on by source, so the Google Ads lead and the referral get different first emails.
- 04Airtable. A row per lead, filterable by channel, for the team that runs its pipeline in a base.
- 05Notion. A page per lead in your pipeline database, source and form included.
- 06Copper. A person record with the source attached, next to the emails it already pulls in.
- 07Insightly. A lead that arrives already knowing which marketing produced it.
- 08Freshsales. A contact with the source on it from the first minute, not added by a rep in week three.
Then your CRM can answer the money question.
Your CRM already knows which deals closed. Put the source on the record and it can finally say which marketing they came from.
- 01Report deals by source. Group won deals by the source on the contact, and the channel that fills the pipeline stops being a matter of opinion.
- 02Route by source. Paid search leads to whoever replies fastest, referrals to the person who knows the referrer. The Zap does the sorting before anyone opens their inbox.
- 03Back what wins. When one source keeps turning into signed work, give it more budget. When one never does, stop paying for it. Nobody needs a quarterly deck to make that call.
Not on Zapier? A signed webhook, or a spreadsheet.
A webhook sends each new lead to your own endpoint the moment it is captured, signed so your system can check it really came from Lead Source. It carries the person, the source, the channel and the campaign. And when someone wants a spreadsheet for the board meeting, export your leads to CSV for any date range up to 90 days, filtered by source or website.
Live before your coffee goes cold.
Three steps. No developer, no field-mapping workshop.
Install Lead Source
Add the one-line snippet to your site’s head. Every form on the site is tracked from the next visit, with nothing to set up per form.
Connect Lead Source in Zapier
Connect your Lead Source account and choose the New Lead trigger. Pick a website or a form, or leave it on everything.
Send a test lead
Fill in one of your forms. The lead and its source arrive in the Zap, ready to go wherever you point it.
Zapier questions, answered.
Do I need Zapier to use Lead Source?
No. Every lead and its source are in your Lead Source dashboard from the first visit. Zapier is for when you want them somewhere else as well, such as your CRM or a shared sheet.
Which apps can receive my leads?
Any app Zapier connects to, which includes HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, Keap, Monday.com, Zoho CRM, ActiveCampaign, Airtable, Notion, Copper, Insightly and Freshsales. If an app is not on Zapier, a signed webhook or a CSV export covers it.
Can I send only some of my leads?
Yes. Filter the trigger to one website or one form, and run a separate Zap for each. One for the quote form, one for the newsletter, if that is how your team splits the work.
Does the page journey go to my CRM as well?
The Zap carries the person, the named source, its channel, the first touch, the form and the website. The full page-by-page journey stays in Lead Source, one click from the lead.
Is the webhook secure?
Every webhook is signed, so your endpoint can check that a lead really came from Lead Source before it accepts it, and it only sends to HTTPS addresses. Lead emails, phone numbers and form answers are encrypted at rest inside Lead Source.
Does Lead Source change anything in my CRM by itself?
No. Lead Source never writes into your CRM on its own. Records are created or updated only by the Zap you build, under your CRM's own rules for duplicates.
